Expired vehicle categories won’t transfer to the new device. They can, however, be reactivated anytime at the standard subscription cost.
If transferring from a Trasdata Master, it must already have all categories enabled. If it doesn’t, you’ll need a one-time upgrade (£950) to unlock all protocols and align subscriptions.
Don’t own a Trasdata? You can upgrade The Genius itself to FULL for £2,300, enabling OBD, BOOT, and BENCH functionality.
To upgrade to TheGenius, an active subscription is required.
Existing Genius & Trasdata Owners
If you already have a new Genius and Trasdata with an active subscription, you can upgrade by purchasing TheGenius hardware only. Your existing protocols will be automatically transferred from your current tools.

What Happens to Your Old Tools?

✔ Your old Genius and Trasdata tools will continue to work normally ✔ They will keep receiving updates until June 2026 ✔ After June 2026, updates will stop — but the tools will not be disabled
This means you can still use your existing equipment even after upgrading to TheGenius.
