The new HVR Mode on The Genius is a dedicated solution for unlocking a selection of Bosch MDG1 ECUs manufactured after 2021 and equipped with protected Infineon Aurix TC298TP / TC299TP microcontrollers.
- Unlock in BOOT (OPEN mode) with the HVR cable connected to the ECU board
- Two-point connection for a stable unlock
- One resistor is removed temporarily for the procedure (refit the resistor after the procedure is complete)
- Close the ECU
- Read and write in BENCH mode on The Genius
Once unlocked, compatible diesel and petrol applications can be mapped on the bench without sending the ECU away.
