The SR38 is our 2WD equivalent of the W4-X. Built with the same philosophy as the W4-X, no compromises. This dyno is built for the most demanding. High power, high speed, superior materials and quality, it’s all there. The 800mm drums guarantee a smooth drive with a maximum grip due to its Tungsten Carbide coating. Equipped with the most powerful eddy current brake available, its brake capacity is a staggering 3800 Nm of torque. With its low profile it is the ideal dyno for extremely lowered cars, down to 60mm ground clearance.
The SR38 is designed using 3D-CAD and FEM analysis to deal with the high power and speed it’s intended for. Laser alignment by SKF, balancing on our own Schenck balancing machine, vibrations are reduced to a minimum assuring very accurate measurement and virtually maintenance free operation. Assembled by hand by a small but very skilled group of professionals, quality is in its DNA!
Because of its height the SR38 must be integrated into the workshop floor.
The Dynostar SR38 with length adjustment
Recently Dynostar has added a new option to expand the use of the Dynostar model SR38. This option is specially designed for confined workshops.
With a length adjustment of up to 2 meters this option makes it possible that even in workshops with limited length, this single roller can be used for vehicles which have front as well as rear wheel drive. With a newly designed mechanism the SR38 can be adjusted very easily! With the remote control the dynamometer can be relocated, adjusted and manually set as desired.
